On this day 29 years ago an explosion rocked Brenham and areas around it for miles when the Seminole Pipeline Co. discovered a gas leak too late. I remember I was at home in Chappell Hill still asleep and it woke me up because I thought an airplane buzzed our home. It was an intense rumble that everyone had a story to tell about that day in Brenham and still today if you get people talking. A child died in the explosion that has left a feeling of gloom around the story since the day it happened.
I found this paper that my father had saved in a photo album and decided I should scan it to share with others.
